You can check your SaskTel prepaid account balance online, by phone, or by text message. From your prepaid phone dial #321, or dial 1.877.214.7070 from any phone, and press 2. SaskTel also publishes 306.347.1978 for use in any country, and texting the word Balance to 438225.
SaskTel states that if you have an account balance of 0 dollars or less for 150 days, your account will be removed from the SaskTel network and you will lose your prepaid phone number.
SaskTel states that if you haven't paid your monthly plan fee, a pay-per-use rate of 0.30 dollars per minute will apply for calls to Canada and the US. SaskTel also notes that prepaid accounts cannot go below zero by making phone calls.
