    • Add your Swype card to Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay and tap to pay.
  • Phone or Mail Orders:
    • Provide your card information just like any regular payment.

The Swype Mastercard is a single-load card. You choose your amount (from $5 to $500) at purchase, and the card closes once the balance is spent. It cannot be reloaded. However, you can purchase multiple cards and manage them all from a single Swype account.

You can use it anywhere Mastercard is accepted: online, in-store, and internationally. The card works with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay for contactless payments. All cards are issued in USD. If you pay in a different currency, a flat $0.50 foreign transaction fee applies. Note: the card cannot be used in sanctioned countries (e.g. Russia, Iran, Cuba, North Korea, and others listed on the product page).

The most common causes are: using a VPN (this triggers fraud protection — disable it before redeeming or paying), trying to use the card in a restricted country, or an expired/zero balance. If you're having trouble activating, make sure you're completing the full sign-up flow on Swype, including email OTP verification.

Your activation link expires after 60 days. Once activated, the card expires after 90 days of inactivity or 3 years from issuance — whichever comes first. The $2.50 monthly maintenance fee continues to apply to your balance even if you're not using the card, so activate and spend sooner rather than later.

  • Expiration timeframes:

  • Users attempting to obtain or use this card in restricted regions may have their transactions declined or accounts suspended.
  • To help you protect your prepaid card activations, enter your email address to enable one-time-password (OTP).
  • How it works:
    • By providing the recipient email, you ensure that only the specified email address can access the activation link for the card. This adds a crucial layer of protection against unauthorized access.
  • Important Notes:
    • Adding the recipient email is optional, but strongly recommended for enhanced security.
    • Reloadly and Swype.cards do not send activation links directly to cardholders.
    • This feature solely restricts access based on the email you provide.
